| Project Title: | Study of select issues in Fresh Produce Supply Chain Management |

| A majority of the total production (20-60%) goes waste in various operational stages of the fresh produce supply chains. The aim of my research is therefore to identify the major reasons for post-harvest waste and to provide effective solutions to reduce the waste. In order to identify the major reasons for post-harvest wastes, literature review of the supply chain management literature addressing fresh produce is done. It is found that a major percentage of total post-harvest waste happens while storage and transportation. Therefore, the objective is to propose highly effective management techniques for storage and transportation of fresh produce. | |
